8-month-old girl dies after hit-and-run crash on LI: police © Provided by WINS Radio New York Siren NEW YORK (1010 WINS) An 8-month-old girl who was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash on Long Island Sunday night has died, police said Monday. Saige Berry and her mother Dywanna Finney, 24, both of Wyandanch, were traveling west in a Lexus on Davidson Street, near Pine Street, in Wyandanch around 9 p.m. on Sunday when they collided with a Nissan Murano driver traveling east on Davidson Street, Suffolk County police said. Berry and Finney, who were passengers in the Lexus, were both taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, police said.

The Suffolk County Police say it happened in Wyandanch Sunday night at 9 p.m. A 2006 Nissan Murano was heading eastbound on Davidson Street, near Pine Street, when it hit a westbound 2010 Lexus and overturned. The driver of the Murano ran away.  A passenger in the Murano, 8-month-old Saige Berry of Wyandanch, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip in critical condition.  Police announced Monday afternoon that she had died.
