FLORENCE, Wis. The Florence County School Board has declined a request to do a potential consolidation study with Goodman-Armstrong Creek School District.
Goodman’s school board had reached out to all neighboring schools, District Administrator Ben Niehaus told the board. Other school districts also were not interested, he said.

G-AC District Administrator Steve Bloom said while making the push for the last referendum, some residents wondered if the school board had approached other districts about consolidation.
In other business, the board; Honored Meg Dallapiazza for her years of working with the district as part of the Food, Fun and Fitness program and many other programs at the school. She is retiring as UW Extension 4-H Youth Development Agent.
