The incident happened just after noon when Navajo Police Department officers responded to a report of an armed suspect in St. Michaels, Arizona. According to a press release, the suspect fled in a vehicle and a tire deflation device was used to disable the vehicle. When the suspect got out of the vehicle, they allegedly pointed a weapon at officers. Officers responded to the threat by shooting the suspect. First aid was immediately given, but the person later died from their injuries.
