Creeks rushing, 30 roads still closed following heavy rains in Nacogdoches County

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Creeks in Nacogdoches and Nacogdoches County are subsiding, but still rushing after heavy rains. Nacogdoches County Road Administrator Doyle Williams reported this morning about 30 roads still closed due to water or trees over the road. At a 6:20 a.m. report from the Nacogdoches County Emergency Management Office the following roads are closed after yesterday’s thunderstorm:

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Businesses and other facilities in Nacogdoches County are rolling back capacity due to a recent spike in COVID-19-related hospitalizations in Deep East Texas.
In a news release Tuesday, Nacogdoches County Emergency Management Office announced businesses establishments subject to Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s executive order GA-32 must limit occupancy to 50 percent. As part of these regulations under the OpenTexas initiative, no elective surgeries in the county will be conducted for the time being.

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, Texas Due to the high COVID-19 hospitalization rate in Nacogdoches County, which is designated as Trauma Service Area (TSA)-H, restaurants will now be required to scale back their occupancy to 50% and elective surgeries will be halted.
According to a press release from the Nacogdoches County Emergency Management Office, the hospitalization rate in TSA-H has surpassed the 15%-threshold for seven consecutive days which prompted the move under Gov. Greg Abbott s Executive Order GA-32.
