SAN AUGUSTINE COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of a 20-year-old Nacogdoches man who was last heard from on April 3.
Bryan Joshua Johnson, 30, is being held in the San Augustine County Jail, and David Earl Whitehead, 31, of Nacogdoches County, is being held at the Nacogdoches County Jail. Both men have been charged with murder.
According to a press release, San Augustine County Sheriff’s Office deputies started assisting the Nacogdoches Police Department on a missing person investigation on April 5. Aaron Wayne Ainsworth was reported missing by his mother, who told authorities that her son had not been heard from since April 3.
Jesus Bautista, who is currently employed as a TDCJ guard, was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail.

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, Texas A Nacogdoches man has been arrested after confessing to the sexual assault of a child.
According to the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office, the victim made an outcry to a family member who notified the authorities. A Sane exam and forensic interview were conducted which revealed the child had been sexually assaulted on numerous occasions over the course of several years.
During the interview, the suspect, identified as Jesus Bautista, 23, gave a full confession to the crime stating that he had sexually assaulted the young girl, less than 10 years of age on numerous occasions over a three-year period.

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, Texas Three people died of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning caused by a generator at a home in the Melrose community, Nacogdoches County Sheriff Jason Bridges said in a Monday morning press release.
According to Sheriff Bridges, deputies were dispatched to the residence located on County Road 4081 around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
