The Knoxville Panther Scholarship Foundation is holding its annual Scholarship Night next Wednesday, May 19th at 7:00 p.m. in the Knoxville Performing Arts Center. Foundation President Curt Froyen says they’re able to support students because of generosity within the community.
“In our first year, we gave out $18,000 in scholarships. This year, we’re going to give out over $136,000. That only happens because of the support we’re receiving from families, individuals, alumni, businesses in Knoxville who appreciate the value of education and want to help our young men and women who are pursuing a postsecondary education. They want our young people to know we’re behind them, we’re proud of their success, and we look forward to following their future.”
