St George s University and Ramaiah University to host Mini-Medical Virtual Course 2021 for school students – India Education | Latest Education News | Global Educational News

Share Bangalore: St. George’s University in association with Ramaiah University is organizing the ‘Mini-Med Course’ in a virtual format on 18th – 19th June 2021 for students from classes 10 to 12. The course will help students understand clinical anatomy, basic medical sciences, how doctors are trained and what to expect from medical school in an engaging and immersive format. The primary objective of this course is to allow students to experience a glimpse of medical education and to inspire them about the attributes of this noble profession.   St. George’s University and Ramaiah University will be hosting the course online with a series of moderated and interactive sessions. The module will cover topics such as the history of medicine, an introductory session on medical terminology, anatomy lab walk-through and a discussion on COVID 19: Where are we now. In addition, the course will feature lessons on the nervous system, mental health, heart health and healthy living.

2021/05/11 10:00 First private education institution (PEI) to support the student esports development platform Kaplan in Singapore and its university partner, Murdoch University, announce their joint support for Campus Legends, an esports platform that sees the development of young gaming talents in Singapore. Organised by the Singapore Cybersports & Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) for the third year, this is the first time a PEI is supporting the event. Students from Kaplan and Murdoch University will compete in Campus Legends, an opportunity to help aspiring youth in the gaming industry level up in terms of skill sets. To be held from 12 June to 8 August 2021, Campus Legends is an inter-school tournament featuring two of the most popular esports titles in Singapore

Since the turn of the millennium, the oil-rich Gulf city-states have emerged as global nodes of finance, migration, architecture, education and culture in a hyper-mediatized world. In her talk, Rania Maktabi reflects on meanings of citizenship and what ‘sustainability’ implies in a transnational context. Her main focus is how education and architecture represent fundamental venues for molding new forms of global Muslim identities – both religious and secular – which are exclusive and inclusive in intricate ways. The talk is part of the Joint Lecture Series, a joint initiative of AKU-ISMC and the Aga Khan Trust for Culture’s Education Programme; the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat and the Aga Khan Museum are also organizing partners this year. This event is presented by AKU-ISMC’s Governance Programme.
