MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis River Parks Partnership has closed the West Memphis entrance to Big River Crossing due to the I-40 bridge closure.
The Arkansas gate closed today, according to the City of West Memphis.
“With the closure of the I-40 Hernando de Soto bridge, as you can imagine, there are many traffic variables and precautions currently in the mix that differ between the West Memphis and Memphis sides of the river, and decisions must be made accordingly,” said George Abbott, Director of External Affairs for Memphis River Parks Partnership.

DENVER â Eastbound Interstate 70 and one westbound lane reopened near Glenwood Springs after a crash with serious injuries.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) first reported the crash at 5:34 p.m. It happened just west of Dotsero. The road closure was near Glenwood Springs.
The interstate ended up being closed for about five hours. The crash cleared around 10:10 p.m. and I-70 fully reopened by 10:35 p.m., according to Garfield County officials.
Investigators haven t released details on how many vehicles were involved or the circumstances surrounding the crash. CSP says there are serious injuries involved, but did not provide further details on how many people were hurt.
After a near five-hour closure, Interstate 70 reopened in both directions from Silverthorne to Golden, the town’s CSP division announced late Saturday night. The highway remains closed in both directions from Limon to Burlington as adverse weather conditions continue early Sunday morning, however.
