Updated Apr 12, 2021;
An armed 26-year-old Easton man, who records show was on probation and had warrants out for his arrest, ran from a domestic dispute early Sunday morning in the West Ward and, when chased down, bit a city police officer on the ring finger, court papers say.
Abdullah Ali Aziz Duncan, of the 100 block of West Lincoln Street on the South Side, was in a home just before 12:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Butler Street and arguing with a woman, police said. He was saying something about “selling weed” when an officer knocked on the door, police said. A woman stuck her head out the window and an officer asked her to come down stairs and talk, police said. As she did, a child appeared at the window and said, ”Take Ab to jail,” court records say.

Just because a police officer feels uncomfortable doesn’t mean that officer is unsafe.
That’s one lesson Guillermo Lopez hopes to impart to municipal police officers in Northampton County through a new implicit bias training program.
Northampton County Executive Lamont McClure announced the training at a press conference Tuesday.
It’s not the county’s place to provide policing, but the county is invested in providing human services, McClure said. The county already provides life-saving crisis intervention training to all first responders, including police officers. McClure feels implicit bias training is just as important.
