2 dead, 1 hurt in shooting at Pa. apartment complex, district attorney says
Updated Apr 28, 2021;
Two people are dead and one person was wounded after a shooting late Tuesday in an Easton apartment complex, Northampton County District Attorney Terry Houck says.
The gunfire happened about 11:30 p.m. in the Canal Park 3 apartments in the 600 block of Canal Park on the city’s South Side.
A man and a woman were dead in a ground-floor apartment, Houck said just before 2 a.m. Wednesday.
A 63-year-old woman in an adjoining apartment suffered a leg wound, was treated at an hospital, Houck said, and released. While Houck wouldn’t classify her wounding as an accident, he said she was not an intended victim. It’s possible a bullet came through a wall.

Northampton County District Attorney Terry Houck spoke glowingly Monday morning about the investigation by Easton police into the March 5 break-in and attempted indecent assault in a College Hill residence that led to the arrest Saturday of a Bethlehem man.
Not only is Clement Swaby, 34, of the 600 block of Hayes Street, charged in the burglary and ensuing theft and assault try, but he’s “a strong person of interest for us” in the Feb. 22 break-in and theft across the street, Houck said.
A 42-year-old man who was killed Monday morning in Moore Township was shot by his neighbor during an ongoing dispute over a water drainage pipe, state police said.
