APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – A 25-year-old Kimberly man is in custody following a crash in Appleton.
Police are referring charges including 3rd offense operating while intoxicated, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Around 6:40 a.m. Monday morning, officers responded to a reckless driving complaint for a vehicle swerving all over the road, and reportedly hitting the wall of Highway 441 to southbound I-41. The vehicle quickly exited I-41 and turned southbound onto N. Richmond Street. The driver then reportedly hit the roundabout at Richmond Street and Northland Avenue, striking a pole which resulted in a tire coming off the vehicle. The vehicle eventually came to a stop after striking the Associated Bank building on N. Richmond Street.
