Maine Coast Heritage Trust, a statewide conservation nonprofit that recently raised $130 million for public land acquisition, will soon change leadership.
MCHT President Tim Glidden, 69, will retire at the end of 2021 after a 10-year tenure in the position, according to a news release Wednesday.

MCHT Board Chair Tom Armstrong said the board of directors is embarking on a national search to identify Glidden’s successor.
“Tim’s vision and expertise have been instrumental to an era of significant growth at Maine Coast Heritage Trust,” Armstrong said in the release. Tim’s leadership even through this unprecedented year of COVID-19 leaves MCHT in a strong financial position, with a highly skilled staff and thousands of energized supporters.”
