Work set to begin on Music Row hotel | Nashville Post

50 Music Square W. Work is ready to begin at the Music Row site once home to the iconic United Artists Tower and long eyed for a hotel, then an apartment building and, once more, a hotel. The project will unfold at 50 Music Square W. An investor and development group overseen by hoteliers Jay Patel and Andy Bhakta will undertake work on the seven-story, 132-room hotel building (pictured). The site previously accommodated the nine-story octagon-shaped United Artists Tower, which the owners had razed in 2019. A permit, valued at $3.09 million, has been issued to allow for framing and foundation work. Southland Constructors is handling the job.

Condo flats set for Porter Road site On-site work is underway on a residential project in East Nashville near the busy Riverside Drive and Porter Road intersection. Porter Village Lofts will include two buildings, each standing three floors. One building will offer 18 residences, with the other to feature three. The address is Tudor Building Group is the developer and general contractor for the project, which sits near other similar and recently opened residential buildings. New images released for Gulch tower | Nashville Post

Also: Construction to start on office building in Hermitage New images have been released for 20-story mixed-use tower Albion, construction of which recently started on a Gulch site located near Frugal MacDoogal. Chicago-based Albion Residential paid $15.5 million for the 1.3-acre property, which has a 645 Division St. address and is notable for its elevation just east of Eighth Avenue. Jason Koehn, Albion president, previously told the Post the project is expected to carry a price tag of $140 million. According to documents previously filed with Metro, Albion plans a building (pictured) that will rise 270 feet, making it one of the city s 40 tallest if standing today. It will offer 415 residential units, 364 parking spaces and a small retail space for a cafe.

Sitting at 613 Ewing Ave. and constructed in 1954, the three-story building most recently changed hands in February 2019 for $6 million (read here), according to Metro records. Prior to that and before an upgrade it sold for $875,000 in 2014. After that sale, the building underwent a $2 million update, with Nashville-based Manuel Zeitlin Architects handling the design. The owner, an Austin-based partnership, has enlisted Jones Lang LaSalle and Nashville-based Travis Kelty, owner of Kelty Commercial Real Estate, to handle the marketing and sale of the building. Currently 88 percent leased, the building (sometimes stylized as The INK Building ) accommodates the offices of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, health and hygiene solutions business Rosmar, Pen and Ledger, Made in Network and First Tennessee Bank.
