The Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville will resume group activities and limited open gym offerings Monday, Feb. 1.
This expansion of services comes after 84 days of only allowing the use of the walking track and batting cages, according to Marketing and Events Coordinator Chris Jung.
In a press release by the City of Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Department, the Sports plex will enforce strict COVID-19 guidelines as well as requiring a facemask or covering.
The Sportsplex will allow general walking, open gym, rentals, team practices, leagues games, and party room rentals.
When discussing why the Sportsplex chose to have a limited reopening, Jung attributes the countyâs downward trend of COVID-19 cases.
