In 2011, the Calallen Education Foundation visited campuses across the Calallen ISD and delivered the very first set of grants to teachers for their innovative and creative ideas to deliver inspiring lessons and learning in the classrooms. Since that time, local businesses and the community have donated nearly $500,000 to support innovative education within Calallen ISD. Those dollars are donated to the Calallen Education Foundation and grants are awarded to teachers that apply for grants to assist them in their daily innovative work with our children.
2021 marks the 10-year anniversary of those original grants being awarded and on Thursday, February 25 the Calallen Education Foundation will be hosting a 10 Years of Giving Virtual Celebration and Fundraising Event on Calallen TV.
