The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA), Abokobi, Hon. Janet Tulasi Mensah, has congratulated Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, on her nomination as Minister-designate for the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection by His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
According to the Hon. MCE, her Hon. MP’s work as the first-ever Minister for Public Procurement, her Parliamentary work and great service in delivering unprecedented socio-economic infrastructural development to the people of the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency have not gone unnoticed and therefore deserves to continue serving in President Nana Addo’s administration.

The resignation of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, from the Appointments Committee of Parliament (ACP) last Wednesday has heightened growing disagreements among some leading members of the largest opposition party.
Citing “both personal and on principle” as reasons for his resignation, the surprise move by Mr Ablakwa has sent out mixed signals within the NDC.
Although Mr Ablakwa insists his resignation is “on principle”, it is believed the real reason for his resignation has more to do with some anger against his colleague NDC MPs on the ACP and the Minority leadership for the approval of Mr Ken Ofori-Atta as Finance Minister.
A founding member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Yaw Boateng Gyan says recent happenings in his party is likely to affect their chances of winning the next election if not solved amicably.

A former National Organizer of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Yaw Boateng Gyan has called on his party leadership to with immediate effect cease the internal wrangling before it becomes a crisis.
He said the party should be focusing on how to win the next presidential election in 2024 and save the country from the bad leadership of the Nana Addo-led government.

A former leader of National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentarians, Cletus Avoka, has said the recent disagreements between the Minority caucus and the party have been resolved by the leadership of the party.
The Zebilla legislator disclosed that the party after Parliament went on recess summoned the leadership of the caucus to address the internal grievances that had created an impression of a serious crisis and have consequently addressed all issues.
He attributed the qualms to a “breakdown of communication” between the party and its members in Parliament.
