City DORA application ready for viewing

Staff and submitted information Van Wert Mayor Ken Markward has signed an application for a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) in Van Wert and has presented this application to Van Wert City Council.  The application will be voted on for approval or denial by City Council no earlier than 30 days and no later than 60 days from April 9.  Any member of the public can request a copy of the application by contacting the mayor’s office. Grading, landscaping work to begin for park site in Grove City s Beulah Park Living ThisWeek group The first phase of a project to develop a community park in Grove City s Beulah Park Living development is designed to ensure future components added to the park could be supported. That work is needed to make the park-area build ready, she said. The city s 2021 capital-improvements budget includes about $1 million for the grading and landscape work at the park, which will be in the middle of the 212-acre Beulah Park Living development. The core master plan for the park has not changed from when MKSK presented it in August 2019, Conrad said. MKSK is a Columbus-based consulting firm that worked with the city to develop the plan.

It will allow additional D-5J liquor permits in the district to help attract new restaurants to the city. CONTRIBUTED/CITY OF LEBANON Lebanon is looking at creating a Community Entertainment District which would enable more restaurants and other establishments to sell beer, wine, and any intoxicating liquor by the glass. Jason Millard, city economic development director, said “a CED is a tool to help facilitate new restaurants and other similar establishments as part of larger scale development and redevelopment areas that include the types of uses outlined by the statute.”
