Police: Car went off road in West Hartford, driver safely extricated

WEST HARTFORD An incident in which a vehicle went off Newington Road, traveling onto a pole’s wires, closed the road for about an hourlong stretch Sunday, according to police.
The incident didn’t have any injuries reported, according to a release from Sgt. Sara Nagle, assistant public information office for the West Hartford Police Department.
“The vehicle had veered off the road and drove onto guide wires of an Eversource pole,” Nagle wrote in the release. “The vehicle, which had all four tires off the ground, was resting on its rear bumper and the guide wires.”

The buyer was JAC Realty Partners LLC, which is controlled by Anne and James Carroll, who owns JP Carroll Roofing in West Hartford.
Carroll plans to relocate his business to the new facility.
The seller was 135 West Dudley Street Associates LLC, which is controlled by Scott Shoham.
JP Carroll Roofing is currently located on Newington Road in West Hartford.
The Bloomfield property was built in 1986 and sits on 3.58 acres.
Sentry Commercial represented the seller and Evan Berman of Broder Commercial represented the buyer.

GPs begin offering Covid vaccine at nine sites across Kent

Nine sites are opening across Kent and Medway from today so GPs can start to deliver the Covid vaccine as cases of the virus continue to rise.
The centres, which will provide doses of the Pfizer / Biontech vaccine, will be the first to open in the county, with more locations due to be announced in the coming weeks.
It has been a huge logistical challenge with GP surgeries working around the clock to make sure everything is in place to be able to welcome the most vulnerable patients.
