Porirua homeowner Niraj Prasad talks about the moment a car smashed into his home
Police have released the names of two men who died after crashing a car into a house in Porirua on Sunday. Tualauta Tusa, 22, and William Temo, 21, both of Porirua, were the driver and passenger of a vehicle that crashed into a house on Warspite Ave, in eastern Porirua at 11.30pm. A Wellington Free Ambulance spokeswoman said the two people in the car were pronounced dead at the scene about 11.53pm. Debris, bits of bumper and personal possessions were strewn around the side of the property where the vehicle ploughed through the fence.

Two people are dead after the car smashed through a house on Warspite Avenue in Cannons Creak about 11.30pm.
House owner Niraj Prasad says it was a very close thing.
He says no one was hurt but he feels really sorry for the pair in the car who died.

A family is in shock after two people died when a car crashed into their home, tearing through foundations.
Police said the single-vehicle crash happened on Warspite Ave in the Porirua suburb around 11.30pm.
Police say the vehicle left the road and hit a house.

Two people died last night after a vehicle crashed into the house on Warspite Avenue in Porirua at about 11.30pm.
Niraj Prasad said the car came in under the house and up through the floorboards of the lounge room where his children had been sitting only moments earlier. We were sitting there, like 30 seconds before it happened . and I had asked the girls to go to bed and they hadn t even reached the bedroom when the actual thing happened.
He said they initially thought it was an earthquake.
