Sin Cara On How WWE Books Latin American Talent

, former WWE superstar Cinta de Oro (fka Sin Cara, Hunico) detailed his frustrations with the lack of prominent Latino representation in WWE. “I never wanted to get into this conversation, but I feel like we need to now,” Cinta said. “It’s true. With everything that is going on in the world, the Latinos or Mexicanos can never really join forces to do something powerful. It’s always been other people. You can see what’s happened nowadays when the Black Lives Matter movement started. It was great to see all them join together and do something positive for everybody, for the community. And when that happened everybody in WWE was a champion, right? Bobby Lashley, New Day, all those guys. Which is great, they’re good friends of mine and I love them, but what about us? We want a shot. We want an opportunity.”

Sammy Guevara Responds To Being Labeled Dangerous

Photo Credit: AEW The Wrestling Inc. Daily. Guevara became a star in AEW early on through his Dynamite debut match against Cody Rhodes, but it was when he became a meme after being hit by Matt Hardy in a golf cart that launched him into higher recognition. Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman asked Guevara about that moment. “As you know, I’ve gotten hurt a lot on the independents with not a whole bunch of people watching. So the golf cart thing hurt a lot but at least a lot of people saw it,” Guevara noted. “So that gives me some kind of weird mental thing where I’m like, ‘okay, it’s justified at least.’ If you look back at how [Chris] Jericho took it, he barely touched it, and I remember saying, ‘I’m gonna make this look crazy.’ And Jericho was like, ‘Nah man, just barely hit it.’ I said, okay, but in my mind, I was like, this is going to be crazy, and I was still mad at it.

Coded Message WWE s Nick Khan Sent To NBCU

(Photo Credit: WWE) On a recent episode of The Wrestling Inc. Daily, Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman sat down with Wrestlenomics business analyst Brandon Thurston to help break down the recent 2021 Q1 Earnings Call. “It was really a Nick Khan podcast,” Thurston said. “Vince [McMahon] talked for 60 seconds and then no more. He didn’t participate in the Q&A, which is what happened last time too. He had an opening statement. I think he had a longer opening statement. He always has an opening statement, but he didn’t participate in the question-and-answer session with the stock analysts at all for the second time in a row. But this is a lot of Nick Khan giving his thoughts on the state of the media industry [and] breaking stories like NBC and the NHL are no longer going to work together.

Maria Kanellis On When ROH Expects Fans Back

(Photo Credit: RING OF HONOR/Mike Adams) Maria Kanellis-Bennett was on a recent episode of The Wrestling Inc. Daily to talk about her new role as part of Ring of Honor’s Board of Directors. During the conversations Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman asked Kanellis when ROH expects fans to return to shows. “We have tentative dates,” Kanellis noted. “We definitely do, and I don’t want to put those dates out there right now, but I would have to say that by the end of the year, you’re going to start seeing some fans back at the shows. That is very important because that’s Ring of Honor. Our fans are the most loyal in the world, the wildest [and] the most amazing. They come up with the most unique chants. They are a part of Ring of Honor, so we want to give back to our fans but, we have to get cleared to do so.”
