NXT announcer Wade Barrett hosted the
NXT “Takeover: Stand And Deliver” global press Conference this morning. Many of the competitors and champions on the card spoke at the press conference including
NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai, Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly.
NXT Champion Finn Balor also spoke on at the press conference. Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman asked Balor how the energy of Takeover compares to the energy of
WrestleMania.
“I think people interpret energy a bit different than me,” Balor said. “For me, whether you’re wrestling in front of 70,000 people, or 15,000 people, or 1,000 people, or 200 people or even 200 people. The energy isn’t about the event. The energy is in the performers that are in the ring. We bring the energy not the other way around.

Wrestling Inc. Daily, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin praised his former opponent, citing this induction as a long time coming.
“Are you kidding me? It’s about time!” Austin said. “Well, he’s been in the ring a couple of times. No surprise, one of the greatest gimmicks of all time. One of the greatest characters of all time, along with the Undertaker, we all know that. Kane has had an absolutely phenomenal career, with all the transitions he made with that. I had him on Broken Skull Sessions and we had a blast.

During it, he noted that while there are various big matches he could do, he has no interest in working another bout. He also put over Universal Champion Roman Reigns. );
“There’s a lot of guys I wish I got to do business with,” Austin said. “There’s generational gaps, but you always have those fantasy match-ups. You see what a guy’s doing and you think, ‘I could have done something with that guy. We could’ve made something really memorable. I think [Roman’s] doing great work. He’s a great performer, and sometimes he’s a little underrated. He’s phenomenal.”
