Jake Crist Says Impact Did Not Pay Him The Last Six Months Of His Contract
The Wrestling Inc. Daily podcast where he chatted with Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman about his future. Crist revealed on the podcast, that his computer show unfortunately had to shut down and that he was not paid by Impact Wrestling during the time he was off TV.
“My computer shop Nerd Reserve, we ended up having to close that,” Crist revealed. “Big shout-out to Nerd Reserve. Pandemic’s been hard. I’ve lost pretty much everything. It’s all good though. [Hausman asks if he was getting paid by Impact] No, just not getting paid. To be honest, if I was getting paid I’m scared to death of this pandemic just like everybody else is.

“I come from a background in the music business,” Jamie said. “My father was a very very involved, so to speak, in music in terms of hip-hop and all that stuff. He helped create Beats by Dre and eventually what became Apple Music on iTunes. Through the music business, I became a touring festival DJ. I did a lot of raves and EDM festivals. Wrestling was always a deep passion of mine even in that stuff.
Jake Crist On Being Cancel Culture Fallout Due To Ties To Joey Ryan And His Brother
Former Impact X-Division Champion Jake Crist was on a recent episode of The Wrestling Inc. Daily where he and Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman chatted about Crist now being a free agent. Crist was last seen on Impact Wrestling as part of the Cancel Culture stable along with his brother Dave Crist, Joey Ryan, Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes, and Crist recalled his involvement with he faction.
“It was legit a dream come true only because RVD was one of my favorite wrestlers when I was a teenager, when I discovered ECW,” Crist expressed. “Rob Van Dam was my favorite wrestler. So when I became in a faction with Joey, Katie and Rob, I was on cloud nine. I loved it. I have nothing bad to say about it. I had a lot of fun standing next to RVD. It just sucks that it wasn’t aired because because there was a lot of hard work put into it, I thought, and it just kind of got scrapped, which righ

“It’s cool because I’m not just finding myself in wrestling. I’m finding myself in my personal life and who I am, and I think they kind of go back and forth on each other and help me develop both of them,” Moriarty said. “Even during the pandemic, the first shut down when I wasn’t wrestling for months, unless you were signed, I kind of just played around with that aesthetic.
