The report ranked Malaysia among countries with large outflows of illicit money alongside nations like Brazil, South Africa and Vietnam. The flow of illicit funds is the illegal movement of money or capital from one country to another that is often associated with money laundering and financing of terrorism. Such conduct is facilitated by the manipulation of corporate vehicles, which include either “legal persons” (eg, companies) or “legal arrangements” (eg, trusts), to hide the identity of natural persons” (eg, individuals) who ultimately own, control or benefit from the actions undertaken.

The company was found to have two boxes of Huons Ascorbic Acid Inj. 500ml/2ml, five ampoules of Placentex, 23 ampoules of Lidocaine Hydrochloride Injection (VIWIT), eight ampoules of Lidocaine Hydrochloride Injection (Shanghai Xiandai Hasen Pharmaceutical Co. LTD.), 24 ampoules of Adrenaline Hydrochloride Injection, one box of Cindella Inj. I.V, one box of Liporase, a box of Luthione Inj. 1,200mg and one box of Vitamin C Inj., which violated Regulation 7(1)(a) of the Control of Drugs and Cosmetics Regula

Jakel plans skyscraper in vicinity of Petronas Twin Towers

THE property development arm of textile wholesaler and retailer Jakel Group is planning to build a 74-storey-tall building within the Golden Triangle near the Petronas Twin Towers in Jalan Pinang. Sources peg the gross development value (GDV) of the development adjacent to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and next to the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur at an estimated RM2 billion. When completed, it may be as tall as Four Seasons Place. A document sighted by The Edge shows that the developer, Mabrur Land Sdn Bhd, submitted building plans for Lot 195, Jalan Pinang, to Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) for approval on Jan 12. Plans for the freehold parcel, measuring 57,447 sq ft, include three floors of retail and four floors of exhibition space. Other components include a hotel, office and serviced apartment.
