Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday assured farmers of safeguarding their interests and claimed that the Centre s agriculture laws have been implemented in order to double their income. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always made policies keeping the interest of farmers in mind and the new laws have been brought to double their income while ensuring that it continues to rise, the Chief minister said in a meeting with a delegation of farmers from western Uttar Pradesh, who met him at his official residence in the state capital here. According to an official spokesman, the Chief minister said farmers were the priority of the state government and it is continuously making serious efforts for their prosperity.
The Arunachal Pradesh Assembly on Thursday passed four key bills, including ones that make amendments in GST clauses and facilitate a business-friendly environment for investors. The bills passed by the assembly are the Arunachal Pradesh Civil Courts Bill, the Arunachal Pradesh Goods and Service Tax (Amendment) Bill, the Arunachal Pradesh Ease of Doing Business Bill and the Arunachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, who had introduced the Arunachal Pradesh Goods and Service Tax (Amendment) Bill, told the assembly that amendments in various clauses have been made keeping in view the present situation. Mein, who also holds the finance, planning and investment portfolios, said the objectives of the Arunachal Pradesh Ease of Doing Business Billl are to bring about regulatory reforms, create an investment-friendly ecosystem, and make it easier to obtain permits online.
