New York, Dec. 14 (CNA) A nonprofit organization supporting America s state governments has passed a resolution in support of starting negotiations on a trade pact between the United States and Taiwan and Taiwan s participation in international organizations.
The resolution was passed on Dec. 10 during a meeting of the U.S. Council of State Governments Eastern Regional Conference (CSG/ERC) Executive Committee.
It encouraged the U.S. and the Republic of China (Taiwan) to begin negotiations toward signing a bilateral trade agreement to strengthen their bilateral trade and economic relations.
