West Australian Premier Mark McGowan is seeking support from other state leaders to limit the approved exemptions for leaving the country as Perth and Peel go through a COVID-19 lockdown which started with a returned traveller who went to a wedding in India.
Mr McGowan also noted on Sunday his state would no longer take more than 1000 returned travellers a week as it was putting a strain on a hotel quarantine system already operating at full capacity.
