Michigan woman accused of using barstool to assault family member Updated May 04, 2021; ALPENA COUNTY, MI – A Michigan woman is accused of attacking a relative with a barstool during a heated argument in Alpena County. Ericka Lynn Hill, 30, of Lachine has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon after the incident which occurred at a residence on Bean Creek Road in Long Rapids Township at approximately 1:20 a.m. on May 2. Troopers from the Michigan State Police Alpena Post responded to the domestic dispute, however, while in route to the scene they were informed the suspect had fled on foot. Upon their arrival the victim met them outside and had dried blood on his face, but refused treatment, police said.

Laura Hilla, treasurer, Rogers Township: “My job as township treasurer is to collect current-year summer and winter property taxes for Rogers Township in Presque Isle County. At the beginning of March, any unpaid taxes for the previous year are turned over to the county to collect and are considered delinquent.”
