A Rochester man admitted Thursday morning that he repeatedly shot at another man in October 2019 after hearing a rumor that the man had sexually assaulted a female friend.
Aries Nyee Candler, 23, pleaded guilty in Olmsted County District Court to a charge of drive-by shooting.
Candler had been charged with first-degree attempted murder-premeditated, possession of a firearm-conviction or adjudicated delinquent for crime of violence, two counts of second-degree assault and an additional count of drive-by shooting for the October 2019 incident.
According to the petition to enter a guilty plea, a joint sentencing recommendation would see Candler sentenced to 72-months in state prison.
