MANCHESTER, NH – So much has changed in the last year, but what hasn’t changed is the impact a CASA volunteer advocate has in the life of a child.
Each year, hundreds of children come to the attention of New Hampshire’s courts as the victims of abuse or neglect and they need someone to speak up for their best interests.
CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, of New Hampshire, provides highly trained volunteers who step into that role, ensuring that when a judge is making decisions about a child’s future, there is someone there to speak to what is happening in the child’s life and make recommendations about what is best for the child alone.
If you re able to go above and beyond to help us during this important time, please consider making an additional financial contribution. Click here to contribute.
COCHISE COUNTY â There is a âcriticalâ need for volunteers who want to help abused and neglected children in Cochise County, child welfare officials said this week.
CASA of Cochise County (CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate) is looking for individuals older than 21 who want to work and advocate for children who have been taken from their families because of adverse conditions.
CASA of Cochise County is in critical need to increase the number of dedicated members of the community to step up and become Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers, and help break the cycle of abuse and neglect through supporting children and families,â said CASA of Cochise County Coordinator Abigail Dodge.
Not even 2020 can stop thestaff at Cardinal Services Coos Bay office from upholding their annual
Casual Friday Jean Fund tradition of donating to a local charity. This year, the determined employees decided to split the donation between two very worthy causes: CASA of Coos & Curry County and the Coos County area s annual December Toy/Food Drive event,
Bus Jam Saturday.Â
Cardinal s Coos Bay office staff are allowed to wear jeans on Friday s as one of Cardinal s ongoing team-building traditions, but they must pay for that privilege. Employees are asked to donate $2 each Friday. At the end of the year, the staff selects a local charity to donate the Jean Fund money. Â

LOS LUNAS â CASA Partners 4NM Kids and Presbyterian Health Services have teamed up this holiday season to make it one to remember for foster kids in Valencia County.Â
About 90 children around the county will not only receive Christmas presents this year, they will receive stockings filled with goodies â which Presbyterian provided.
âEspecially now, this year more than ever, we need to help each other out,â said Linda Griego, a volunteer coordinator with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) based in Los Lunas. âI think itâs more meaningful this year than getting a gift or stocking.â
