“I saw the academies as the perfect solution,” said Evans. “It was a way for me to be like my father, but also attend college in a way that was paid for, like my parents wished.”
Evans focused on improving his grades to get accepted into the U.S. Naval Academy. After years of hard work, he was accepted and now serves in the Navy just like his father, who is also named Matthew and is a retired senior chief fire control technician.
While at the academy, the younger Evans and his fellow midshipmen were offered a variety of leadership positions and opportunities to be pilots, submariners, surface officers and more.

Following Russia s recent ‘Umka 2021 military drills, which took place in March within the Arctic circle, a review is now under way to better place the SSBNs to counteract threats and deployments of NATO forces that operate in the North, Russian newspaper Ivestia reported on 11 May.

Beijing [China] May 18 (ANI): The Chinese government is not disposed to transparency regarding its military accidents and experts belive that Military commissioner and former president Jiang Zemin acknowledged the tragic incident on May 2, 2003 of Ming class 361 in which all the 70 crew members were found dead just to downplay SARS epidemic.
China has never been transparent regarding its military accidents. Any breakdown in crew discipline or mechanical reliability can turn a submarine into watery coffins.
