To produce the list, Premium Schools looked at all of the community colleges offering online degrees across the country and made their comparison based on certain criteria. We looked at every community college in the nation that offers some online degrees. We then sectioned them by state and compared graduation rates, as well as the average cost of attendance after financial aid was applied, Malcolm Peralty, chief editor of Premium Schools explains on how they came up with the list.
PENDLETON â Blue Mountain Community Collegeâs Cruisinâ for Scholarships is switching gears for its ninth annual event.
Rather than having a traditional car show, the 2021 event will hit the road with a car cruise. The fundraiser supports the collegeâs diesel technologies program and student scholarships.
The Cruisinâ for Scholarships Car Cruise is set for Saturday, May 15. The green flag will wave at 10 a.m. at the BMCC campus in Pendleton, 2411 N.W. Carden Ave.
Participants will shift into high gear and travel to Wildhorse Resort & Casino, where the vehicles will be judged. After judging, everyone is invited to cruise back into town to the Pendleton Convention Center, 1601 Westgate, at which time the best of show with a trophy presentation will take place as the event waves the checkered flag at 2 p.m.
UMATILLA COUNTY â Voters will have an opportunity to cast their votes for three candidates for the Umatilla County Special Library District Board of Directors.
A trio of three candidates â incumbent John Thomas, Caleb Barron and Sharone Pettus McCann â are each vying for a four-year term. Two candidates from the field will gain a seat on the board.
The other board position currently on the ballot is the remaining two years of the term previously held by Kara Davis, who left Dec. 31, 2020, when moving out of the area for a new job. Candidates for that single position are Jubilee Barron, Gaby Gonzalez and Fatima Machado.
