The Rotary Club of Fluvanna County was recognized on July 19 by outgoing District Governor (DG) Judy Cocherell at the Rotary District 7600 2020-2021 Change of Leadership and Awards event.
The club received “Best of” awards for Club Website, Community Service, Public Image, Rotary Education, Rotary District Foundations, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, Vocational Service and Youth Service.
Additionally, the were recognized as a Governor’s Circle Club and Immediate Past President Dr. James Kelley was recognized with the “Outstanding President’s Award.” Finally for the first time ever, the Rotary Club of Fluvanna County was awarded the “Governor’s Cup” for the Rotary Year 2020-2021. This award goes to the Rotary Club in the District who achieves excellence in multiple areas such as the ones listed above as well as New Member Attraction, Member Retention, and overall Community Impact.
