Missing rooftops, injuries, downed trees reported after five tornadoes hit North Texas

May 4 Residents in the southern part of North Texas awoke on Tuesday morning to roof damage, fields of debris and downed trees and power lines following a night of severe storms and tornadoes.
Two confirmed tornadoes swept through Blum and Ellis County, near Waxahachie and Forreston, on Monday evening, bringing with them winds up to 130 miles per hour and large hail, according to Juan Hernandez, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Fort Worth. Brief tornadoes also were reported in Hood, Johnson and Collin counties.

Authorities made a second arrest in connection with a body found last month in Ennis.
Lauren Danielle Dovers, 25, was arrested Tuesday in the death of 29-year-old Jordan Von Hoffman, the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office said.
Dovers faces a charge of tampering or fabricating physical evidence with the intent to impair a human corpse, a second-degree felony.
She is being held at the Ellis County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
On April 8, officials arrested Trenton James Adams, 28, at an apartment in Houston.

Body of Waxahachie man, 29, found near Ennis March 24

A man suspected in the death of a Waxahachie resident two weeks ago was arrested in Houston on Thursday morning, the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Trenton James Adams, 28, was apprehended in an apartment complex by the Houston Police Department. Adams has been transferred to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for arraignment.
Once he is arraigned, Adams will be transported to the Wayne McCollum Detention Center, where he will be booked for the murder of 29-year-old Jordan von Hoffman.
On the afternoon of March 24, Ellis County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 6900 block of Ensign Road near Ennis after receiving a report of a dead body on the property.
