DTI, LGUs monitor hardware stores compliance to trade laws

LAMUT, Ifugao, May 21 (PIA) - - The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) spearheaded inspection and monitoring of hardware stores in two towns to check that only standard-compliant steel bars are offered for sale to the public.
Personnel from DTI-Ifugao s Consumer Protection Division together with representatives of the municipal governments of Lagawe and Banaue inspected hardware stores to ensure that these establishments comply with standard requirements on markings and mass weight as required by Philippine National Standard (PNS) for rerolled steel bars and deformed steel bars.
