Consumer goods stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Consumer Discretionary Goods & Services index rising 30.43 points or 0.67% at 4584.81 at 09:49 IST. Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Discretionary Goods & Services index, Borosil Renewables Ltd (up 9.4%), Asian Paints Ltd (up 9.11%),Shalimar Paints Ltd (up 6.21%),Borosil Ltd (up 6.07%),Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd (up 4.58%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Zee Media Corporation Ltd (up 4.55%), Relaxo Footwears Ltd (up 3.76%), Berger Paints India Ltd (up 3.76%), Asian Granito India Ltd (up 3.43%), and Future Enterprises-DVR (up 3.28%). On the other hand, Vaibhav Global Ltd (down 4.23%), Tube Investments of India Ltd (down 3.37%), and Apollo Tyres Ltd (down 3.14%) moved lower.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Discretionary Goods & Services index, TVS Motor Company Ltd (up 13.16%), Arvind Ltd (up 8.4%),Vaibhav Global Ltd (up 6.97%),Future Enterprises Ltd (up 4.97%),Anant Raj Ltd (up 4.94%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Future Lifestyle Fashions Ltd (up 4.94%), Future Retail Ltd (up 4.92%), Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd (up 4.27%), Bajaj Auto Ltd (up 3.9%), and Sheela Foam Ltd (up 3.87%). On the other hand, Jay Bharat Maruti Ltd (down 3.67%), Symphony Ltd (down 1.94%), and Responsive Industries Ltd (down 1.81%) moved lower.

Among the other losers were Jamna Auto Industries Ltd (down 2.79%), K P R Mill Ltd (down 2.72%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (down 2.6%), Avenue Supermarts Ltd (down 2.58%), and Whirlpool of India Ltd (down 2.57%). On the other hand, Kaya Ltd (up 20%), TV18 Broadcast Ltd (up 15.79%), and Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd (up 11.56%) moved up.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Discretionary Goods & Services index, Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd (down 6.24%), Future Enterprises-DVR (down 5.06%),Sobha Ltd (down 5.03%),Vakrangee Ltd (down 4.96%),V2 Retail Ltd (down 4.48%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Indian Hotels Co Ltd (down 4.39%), Anant Raj Global Ltd (down 4.16%), Rico Auto Industries Ltd (down 4.12%), Suprajit Engineering Ltd (down 4.11%), and Ashiana Housing Ltd (down 4.09%). On the other hand, Mayur Uniquoters Ltd (up 3.46%), Godrej Properties Ltd (up 3.19%), and Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd (up 3.03%) turned up.

Sensex, Nifty Rally For Second Straight Session Led By Auto, IT Stocks All the 19 sector gauges compiled by the BSE ended higher led by the S&P BSE Auto index s over 3 per cent gain. Updated: March 02, 2021 3:37 pm IST The Indian equity benchmarks rallied for second straight session on Tuesday led by gains in information technology and auto shares like Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies and Tata Consultancy Services. The benchmarks staged a gap up opening however some profit taking in noon deals led to benchmarks coming off intraday highs. However, late buying in banking shares led to the Sensex and Nifty close near day s highs. The Sensex rose as much as 590 points and Nifty 50 index touched an intraday high of 14,957 before hitting a low of 14,761.
