Winter Low Income Home Energy Crisis Assistance Available Central Arkansas Development Council announced today Crisis Assistance applications for the 2021 Winter Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) are now being accepted for several counties in Arkansas. According to a press release, both Regular and Crisis Assistance applications will continue to be accepted until funds are exhausted in the following counties: Calhoun, Clark, Columbia, Dallas, Hempstead, Hot Spring, Howard, Lafayette, Little River, Lonoke, Miller, Montgomery, Nevada, Ouachita, Pike, Pulaski, Saline, Sevier, and Union Counties. The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program assists low-income households with home energy costs by administering the Regular Assistance and Crisis Intervention Programs.

North Carolinians can apply online for financial help with energy bills beginning Monday

More options available for heating assistance

RALEIGH The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services announced beginning Monday, Jan. 4, households can apply for the Crisis Intervention Program (CIP) and the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) online at www.epass.nc.gov. This helps make it easy and convenient to apply for these programs in a safe and socially distance way. In addition to ePASS, Rutherford County Department of Social Services offers several other safe options to apply. Applications can be made by telephone by calling the Energy Line at 828-287-1248. A telephonic signature will be utilized so no visit to the agency is necessary. Due to higher than normal call volumes during this time, consumers may be prompted to leave a message. Calls will be returned within 24 hours to begin the application process.
