Obituary: Vada Ardith (Hartline) Spencer (2/11/21)

Thursday, February 11, 2021 Vada Ardith (Hartline) Spencer, 85, Nevada, Mo., passed from this life on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. Ardith was the only child of Marion William and Velma Dorris (Reynolds) Hartline, born Dec. 31, 1935, in Walker, Mo. She attended both grade and high school at Walker, graduating in 1953. Following marriage, she lived on an acreage northwest of Walker where the couple farmed for 10 years. They moved into Nevada in 1963 and were divorced in 1973. Ardith made her public statement of faith in a revival meeting at Walker Christian Church at the age of twelve and was baptized in Melton Creek near Walker by Pastor Wood. In Nevada, she transferred her membership to the Community Christian Church and served in various positions for 30 years. At her death she was a member of First Baptist Church, Nevada, joining membership there in 2003 where she continued to help and support the church.

Monday, February 8, 2021 Virgil Edward Flagor, 76, of Sheldon, Mo., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. Virgil was born April 8, 1944, in Pasco, Wash., to Reuben and Sarah (Lolley) Flagor. The family moved to a farm at Walker, Mo., when he was five. Virgil graduated from Walker High School in 1962. Growing up he loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and farming. On Feb. 12, 1965, Virgil married the love of his life, Zetta Mae Harleman. They had a daughter, Doris Rosemary. They spent 56 years having many adventures. Virgil was known to be able to fix almost anything. He was a hard worker. He began working for the Nevada Hatchery, then the Rich Hill Rendering plant, then Dahmer Electric, and from there he went to the Nevada State Hospital where he worked until retiring. He finished with a few years with Skills Unlimited.

Nevada Hospital Receives First COVID 19 Vaccines For Phase 1B

NRMC to Host Phase 1B Vaccine Clinics Nevada Regional Medical Center (NRMC) has received their first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines for Phase 1B. Only individuals registered through waiting lists will be notified and scheduled for one of two upcoming mass vaccination clinics that will provide more than 500 individuals with their first dose of a two-part Moderna vaccine. Second doses will be given at follow-up clinics four weeks after the initial clinics. It is important to note that COVID-19 vaccination may only be done by appointment and walk-ins are not accepted. As supplies continue to come in, NRMC will continue to reach out to those who have requested a vaccination.
