Police charge 5th suspect in shooting deaths of 2 men outside N.J. racetrack

A fifth person was charged in connection with a deadly double shooting in the parking lot outside the Meadowlands Racetrack last year, authorities announced Monday.
Davon Womack, 23, of Jersey City, was arrested on April 16 and charged with two counts of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and weapons-related offenses, according to a statement from the New Jersey State Police.
The shooting happened on Oct. 25 and the 10-12 gunshots were heard around 9:25 p.m. by a New Jersey Sate Police staff sergeant who was standing in the parking lot of FanDuel Sportsbook, according to probable cause affidavits. When he looked toward the sound of the shots, the staff sergeant saw three men running from the direction of the loud claps and hopping into a dark Audi SUV, police have said.

A man flying in to Newark Liberty International Airport last week was accused of sexually touching a woman who was sitting next to him aboard the flight, federal prosecutors said.
Ryan Manuella, 28, of Cheektowaga, New York, was charged with abusive sexual contact on an airplane, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig announced Monday.
The incident allegedly happened aboard a United Airlines plane that departed Denver, Colorado Friday morning and was scheduled to arrive in Newark at 3:37 p.m., according to a criminal complaint. Manuella was assigned to the aisle seat in the same row as the woman who was seated in the window seat, authorities said. The middle seat between them was vacant and they did not know each other, they said.
United New Flights To Croatia, Greece, Iceland, As Travel Restrictions Eased
Last month s searches on United.com for flights to Croatia, Greece and Iceland were up 61 percent.
Starting in July, United will offer new direct flights to Dubrovnik, Croatia from Newark Liberty International Airport; to Athens, Greece from Washington Dulles International Airport; and to Reykjavik, Iceland from Chicago O Hare International Airport, all subject to government approval.
United will add service to Croatia on July 8, and will expand service to Greece and Iceland beginning July 1. All services will be operating through October 3.
Booking for the new routes at United.com and on the United mobile app started on Monday.

United Airlines is adding three new flights to its international network, giving travellers more options for summer travel by flying direct to countries that are starting to reopen to vaccinated visitors.
Starting in July, United will offer new direct flights between Newark Liberty International Airport and Dubrovnik, Croatia, between Washington Dulles International Airport and Athens, Greece and between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Reykjavik, Iceland.
All three flights are subject to government approval.
The addition of these new routes reflects an increase in interest among United’s customers - in the last month, searches on United.com for flights to Croatia, Greece and Iceland are up 61 per cent.
