The community is invited to attend the ceremony and then explore the park s many features, including the new splash pad, which will be open, weather permitting.   As the park district s newest park, 33-acre Wolf s Crossing Community Park offers several new amenities, including the district s first challenge course, a multipurpose hill for sledding, running, climbing and other activities, a set of 4 pickleball courts, a nature play area and a splash pad, which opens for the first time this spring.

Courtesy of Naperville Park District     Updated 4/30/2021 12:07 PM Naperville Park District plans to open the Paddleboat Quarry for weekend hours during the month of May, beginning Saturday, May 1, weather permitting. Paddleboats, kayaks and paddleboards will be available for rental on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.   We are excited to open the Paddleboat Quarry this spring, said Aquatic Manager Jackie Gonzalez. Last year we saw a record number of people enjoy paddling out on the water at a time when recreation options were limited, due to the pandemic. This year, we anticipate that many people will continue to visit the Quarry for fun on the water that is affordable and close to home.

The city is seeking construction bids to fix various problems discovered with the Moser Tower, including cracked concrete, corroded structural steel and post-tension stress pockets, said Bill Novack, director of transportation, engineering and development.   Upgrades also are expected to encompass landscaping, waterproofing and renovations to the base floor to ensure the structure drains properly, he said.
