Two people were arrested for the theft of a ute at Westshore overnight on Monday, after a member of the public reported a suspicious vehicle. The incident was thought to be linked to an aggravated burglary in Pakowhai Rd, Hasting, and both offenders had previously been involved in stealing vehicles and were referred to youth aid services. A 30-year-old woman was arrested and charged with burglary and possession of methamphetamine following a shoplifting incident at a Napier supermarket at midday on Tuesday, when $366 of goods were allegedly stolen. Local police recognised the woman’s vehicle in Bay View as she travelled towards her home address. She was arrested and the goods were recovered, and she is due to appear in the Napier District Court.
O’Neill has conducted a prolonged campaign against Malcouronne, his wife and children, since they moved in to their Shakespeare Rd house in mid-2018. In mid-2019, Judge David Harvey issued restraining orders against both of them. Malcouronne successfully appealed that decision and the restraining order against him was removed. The order against O’Neill remained in place, with High Court judge Justice Karen Clark describing her as “the indisputable and relentless harasser”. Within days of Justice Clark’s decision coming out, O’Neill served Malcouronne with a summons alleging that he had breached the restraining order against him.

Following a spate of vehicle thefts in Napier, proactive patrols have been focussed on a number of areas in an effort to deter any further offending and identify those responsible.

Following a spate of vehicle
thefts in Napier, proactive patrols have been focussed on a

At around 1:30am on
Tuesday morning, a patrol noticed two youths attempting to
break into a vehicle on McDonald Street, Napier. The pair
were arrested and charged with attempted unlawful taking and
appeared in Hastings Youth Court.

Two men already in custody over the death of Outlaws leader Peter Lui in Napier have now been charged with murder.
They are set to appear on the charge in the Napier District Court via audio visual link today.
Lui, also known as China, died following the alleged attack outside the Outlaws Motorcycle Club s pad at Mersey St in Pandora on March 29.
He had been involved with the Outlaws for over 40 years and held the title of the club s national president.
