A Time to Seek: Meaning, Purpose and Spirituality at Midlife (Riviera Publishing), was occasioned by a Christmas present from her husband, former Flyer basketball forward Tim Pohlman ’80. That Christmas was the final one in her 40s, and she had begun to fear the forward movement of time her father leaning on a blue cane, her mother’s teal velour running suit. (“I couldn’t remember the last time I’d seen her run.”) She was suddenly aware that important things in her life were starting to end.

ANNA – The Anna Engine Plant, Honda’s largest engine plant in the world, began production of an all-new turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that is powering the return of Acura Type S models. The latest in an incredible line of high performance powertrains built exclusively in Ohio, the new engine debuted in the 2021 Acura TLX Type S, which went on sale this week at Acura dealerships nationwide.
As budget questions concerning Land Between the Lakes continue to linger, Stewart County, Tennessee Mayor Robin Brandon wonders if the recreation area’s management shouldn’t be passed on to another federal agency.
Leaders of the counties that comprise the 170,000-acre recreation area recently received budget information for the next fiscal year that appeared to indicate a reduction of the recreation and heritage line item on the budget from $1.8 million last year to $77,000 for the upcoming year.
The lack of funding would affect operating LBL venues and some campgrounds as well as trail maintenance.
An official with Land Between the Lakes said budget information for the upcoming fiscal year won’t be available until the Interior and Related Appropriations Bill is passed by Congress and signed into law by the President.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Land Between the Lakes is coming back to life, with some facilities back open this week and more in the works.
“We know the public is excited to return to their favorite places at Land Between the Lakes,” said Tim Pohlman, acting area supervisor for the U.S. Forest Service at Land Between the Lakes. “We are looking forward to inviting everyone out to such a special place during a time when we all are ready to get outdoors for a new learning adventure or rediscovery of the past.”
