Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, on Monday, described the Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemi, popularly known as Sunday Igboho as a child of circumstance.
The governor, while speaking on Channels Television’s programme, ‘Politics Today’, noted that the situations that led to the activist’s interventions in security issues should be investigated.
“Sunday Igboho is a child of circumstance. We must look at the circumstance that led to each of these interventions,” Akeredolu noted.
The Chairman of the South-West Governors’ Forum stressed that nothing happens without a reason, adding that the circumstances may be legal and maybe illegal but should be examined.

NUT urges teachers to disregard ASUSS
On
Nigerian Union Of Teachers
The Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) has cautioned teachers to be wary of campaign of culumny being orchestrated by the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS).
Mr Kelvin Okwanko, the Deputy National President of the association, made the call at a news conference in Kano on Friday.
Nwanko said that ASUSS was not a registered organisation as being insinuated, sequel to the misinterpretation of the judgment of the Supreme Court by the group.
He recalled that the Supreme Court on Jan. 15, 2021, in an Appeal No. CA/A/256/09, ordered for the retrial of the matter between NUT and ASUSS at the Court of Appeal, stressing that the order did not register ASUSS as a trade union as being speculated.

Edo teachers’ strike paralyses primary schools
On
By Ozioruva Aliu
For the fourth day running, academic activities in Edo State primary schools remained paralysed as a result of the ongoing strike by the state’s chapter of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT).
They continued the strike despite a restraining order granted by the Benin division of the National Industrial Court, NIC last Monday.
However, apparently, to reduce the impact of the strike, the state government has deployed officials of the State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, to some of the primary schools to teach pupils who showed up, just as it asked the Public Works Volunteers, PUWOV, to provide security to the SUBEB officials.
