Rudy Tomjanovich had a great moment of humor during his Hall of Fame speech on Saturday. Tomjanovich was among the members of the 2020 Hall of Fame class who got inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The former Houston Rockets head coach referenced one of his former players during his speech, Sam Cassell.
Tomjanovich thanked Cassell in his speech for having “big cojones,” which is slang for having great courage and guts.

Cassell, 51, played for Houston from 1993-1996 and was known for his “big balls” dance (that he actually ripped off). Cassell would often do the dance after making big, clutch shots.

Kobe Bryant is in the Hall now, along with contemporaries Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett, headliners of a group of nine who got their delayed and long-awaited enshrinement on Saturday night, more than a year after being announced as the Hall’s Class of 2020.
“Right now, I’m sure he’s laughing in heaven, because I’m about to praise him in public,” Vanessa Bryant said.
And she did, her purple dress matching the traditional Los Angeles Lakers color, capping the night by giving the speech that her husband was not here to deliver.
“There will never be anyone like Kobe,” Vanessa Bryant said. “Kobe was one of a kind. He was special. He was humble off the court but bigger than life.”

Suns bid for top seed requires win Sunday in San Antonio

The Phoenix Suns still have plenty to play for when they square off against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday afternoon in the Alamo City in the regular-season finale for both teams.
That s because the Suns (50-21) took care of business and handily beat undermanned San Antonio 140-103 on Saturday in the opener of a season-ending back-to-back.
With the victory, Phoenix kept pace with Utah (51-20) in the race for the top seed in the Western Conference. If the Suns defeat San Antonio on Sunday afternoon and Utah loses at Sacramento, Phoenix will win the conference as it owns the tiebreaker with the Jazz.
