It s been more than a year since Kobe Bryant s tragic death in a helicopter crash alongside his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, and seven others, but basketball legend Michael Jordan is still remembering his longtime pal.
Bryant first referenced Jordan s tequila brand, Cincoro Tequila, writing, “This tequila is awesome,” after Jordan sent him a bottle for the launch.
“Thank you, my brother,” Jordan responded.
“Yes, sir. Family good?” Kobe replied.

Before the posthumous induction of the late Kobe Bryant into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame this weekend, NBA legend Michael Jordan shared his final text exchange with the Lakers star before his untimely death.
Bryant s life and career have been celebrated enormously since the Lakers legend was killed in a January 2020 helicopter crash. Among those who shared their memories is Bryant s Hall of Fame presenter and an NBA icon of his own, his Airness, Michael Jordan.
According to CBS Sports, ESPN s Jackie MacMullan noted that Michael Jordan shared with him the contents of the final text messages that he and the late Lakers star exchanged in December 2019.

Michael Jordan feels comfortable revealing his last conversation with the late, great Kobe Bryant just before he helps induct the legendary Laker into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
It is apropos for the former player considered the greatest ever to induct the man who was virtually a carbon copy of himself, which will take place on Saturday, May 15, 2021.
Jordan showed ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan what his last texts were to him before Bryant and his daughter, Gianna Bryant, perished in a helicopter crash on Jan. 26, 2020. Seven other lives were also lost in the mountains north of Los Angeles.
