Covid helpline of little help, say locals | Noida News

Noida: Residents trying to source details about intensive care unit beds, oxygen facility and plasma support claim that it is very difficult to get through the government toll-free Covid helpline number. Some residents have now started a Twitter campaign, demanding a single-point information platform where they can get real-time ICU availability, ambulance, oxygen source and other information if a family member falls sick. The administration, however, says that the toll-free number (1800-419-2211) is working. “The voice-activated toll-free number is of little help at the time of emergency. Sometimes, even if we press the buttons as told, the call gets disconnected,” Brajesh Kumar Singh, a resident, said. “There should be either a real-time Twitter update or a website to keep residents informed.”
