NEW DELHI: Mahindra XUV300 has achieved a very unique feat as it has become the first car in the African market to achieve a 5-star Global NCAP crash rating. The B-SUV achieved the same rating when it was tested in the Safer Cars for India campaign in 2020.
The Made-in-India Mahindra XUV300 is one of the best-selling models in the African market and achieving the top score in the Safer Cars for Africa campaign could further boost the automaker’s presence in the foreign market.
The XUV300 scored a 5-star rating when it comes to an adult occupant’s safety, but the SUV also scored a 4-star safety rating for a child occupant in the rear, which is relatively a very good figure compared to the global standards.
