NBIM Buys 50 Percent Interest in Daventry Logistics Property

The partnership between Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) and Prologis Inc. has acquired a logistics property in Daventry, in the U.K. The agreement was signed and completed on March 12, 2021. Norges Bank Investment Management paid 27.1 million pounds for its 50 percent ownership interest. The property is unencumbered by debt, and no financing was involved in the transaction. The seller of the property is Prologis. Prologis will own the remaining 50 percent interest and will perform the asset management on the property on behalf of the joint venture. The property has a leasable area of 40,423 square meters.
Unilever Subsidiary Supports Defunding U.S. Police

A subsidiary of Unilever is getting into U.S. social politics, requesting the government to defund police. The subsidiary is Seventh Generation, Inc., which was formed in 1988 and sells “eco-friendly” cleaning and personal care products. In 2016, Unilever acquired Seventh Generation for an estimated US$ 700 million.
Seventh Generation products are sold in retailers like Target Corporation, home of the state of massive cop protests. In 2015, Seventh Generation had turnover exceeding US$ 200 million.
Some of the largest institutional shareholders in Unilever include BlackRock, Gardner Russo & Gardner LLC, Wellington Management Company LLP, and Arrowstreet Capital LP. Some of the fund managers manage the pensions of U.S. police officers and firefighters.
