Sony has rolled out an update for PlayStation 5‘s Share Factory Studio, which adds a community requested feature alongside enhancing editing experience on the console.
In response to the PS5 community requesting increased clips for tracks, the following have been implemented:
Track 1 clips increased from 50 to 100
Track 1 transitions increased from 49 to 99
Music tracks increased from 12 to 24
Track 2 clips increased from 10 to 20
To improve the overall editing experience, the update also includes:
A fresh new look for Track 2 with tapestry now available as well as added support for Layouts and Frames.
Support for HDR screenshots.
Improved track visualization with Track 1 and Track 2 now featuring icons indicating if your clip is in HD, 4K and/or HDR.

Sony has released PlayStation 5 system software update 20.02-02.50.00, which resolves a longstanding issue of the console installing PS4 versions of disc-based games despite players upgrading to the PS5 version. In addition to this, the update has brought with it the usual stability fixes and the ability to select and edit video clips using Share Factory Studio from the media gallery.

In rare cases, the PS4 version of a game would install from the disc after you upgraded to and installed the PS5 version. Now, when you insert the PS4 game disc, the PS4 version won’t install unexpectedly.

It’s that time again. Sony has released another PS5 system software update, with the goal of fixing a few issues. This time around we’re at update 20.02-02.50.00 – this is what it fixes.
PS5 system software update 20.02-02.50.00 – What exactly does it fix?
Well, PS5 system software update 20.02-02.50.00 isn’t a huge one, at least in terms of changes. Sony describes the main problem this time out as “The PS4 version of a game was sometimes installed from the PS4 game disc even after upgrading the disc version of a PS4 game to the PS5 version.” Thankfully, that’s what they’re resolving. The update will also, as usual, help to improve “system performance” and will allow players to select and edit video clips using
According to the PS5 System patch notes, there have been cases where PS4 game installations from disc would install the last-gen version of a title, after upgrading it to the PlayStation 5 version.
Sony lists this as a rare issue which should no longer be causing problems for those trying to manage their console storage space.
The patch itself should not reduce the overall space available to install games on your PS5, and should only take a short period to download.
