Bangabandhu’s birth centenary: BRTC launches special Tungipara-Mujibnagar bus service Star Digital Report Star Digital Report
Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation today launched a special bus service between Tungipara of Gopalganj and Mujibnagar of Meherpur to mark the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain inaugurated the service through a video conference today while BRTC Chairman Tazul Islam was the special guest at the programme.
Tungipara is the birthplace of Bangabandhu while Mujibnagar is where the provisional government of independent Bangladesh took oath on April 17, 1971.
The special service will connect these historic places directly that would encourage people to visit there, BRTA said in a press release today.
