Bangladesh Football Federation vice-president and National Teams Committee chairman Kazi Nabil Ahmed, MP told the reporters that they would cancel the tri-nation tour in Nepal if the Asian Football Confederation allow them to play the home match of the Joint Qualification Round for the FIFA World Cup’2022 and AFC Asian Cup’2023 against Afghanistan this month.
“We will write to AFC for informing us of our recent correspondence and discussions with AFF. AFC will take the final decision, but we still want to host the match. If AFC postponed the match, then we will go for plan B that means we will tour Nepal. But if they want the match here, we will cancel that tour. The whole thing depends on AFC’s decision. In the meantime, we will start the camp on March 14 and will wait for their decision,” Nabil said after the meeting of the committee at BFF house on Monday.
